For us, exploration was the answer to our curiosity – exploration of nature, culture and the people entangled with the land across its fables in time. Meluha Expeditions is a small‑group adventure outfitter creating mindful, immersive journeys across India. We seek out wild places and genuine cultural encounters — thoughtfully, responsibly and at a pace that lets you actually feel the place. We curate active tours across India: trekking, cycling, wildlife safaris, cultural immersion and off‑the‑beaten‑track exploration — all built around boutique, locally owned accommodations and real community connections.
Our Story and Values
Long before the name India was known, there was Meluha. first mentioned in ancient Sumerian texts from 3000 BCE for the lands to the east—a name that scholars connect with the Indus Valley Civilization. They pioneered city planning, metallurgy, art, trade and the ideals of democracy. Meluhan Carnelian beads, seals and goods were exported to both Egypt and Sumer. Driven by curiosity, the Meluhans explored diverse landscapes and adapted to local cultures wherever they went. Inspired by their values, we at Meluha Expeditions, explore with curiosity, travel responsibly, and connect meaningfully with the people and places we visit on our journeys.

With guiding experience across the Himalaya, the Western Ghats and India’s cultural heartlands, he designs journeys that combine adventure, thoughtful hospitality and a deep respect for nature and local communities.

Marketing & Social Media Lead
A marketer by profession, Alexander has a deep passion for nature and exploration. He supports the media and marketing efforts of the company with his creative flair, and years of experience, turning raw experiences into compelling content that connects travelers to India’s most extraordinary places.

Cycle Specialist & Expedition Leader
Hailing from Kochi in Kerala, Francis is an experienced adventure guide with 15+ years leading cycling and multi-activity tours across India and Sri Lanka. An infectious smile, a positive attitude, attention to detail and the heart of an explorer make him an excellent lead/companion/friend on our tours.
